Located at 2855 Coral Springs Drive, the Coral Springs
Museum of Art offers visitors an array of activities in
addition to experiencing its traveling or permanent exhibitions.
If learning painting, drawing, ceramics, watercolor or
one of dozens of other media interests you then head straight
to the Museum to pick up the monthly calendar of activities
or visit their website through the link to the City of
Coral Springs’ website.
Classes in various media and exhibits by nationally
and internationally renowned artists barely scratch
the surface of the Museum’s influence on cultural
activities in the City. An Artists-in-Residence program
offers Museum visitors an intimate look at the creation
of beautiful works and opportunities to learn from
the
experts. Classes in art history, portfolio reviews
for high school students, Yoga for Art Lovers, a home
school
art program, and gallery walks with exhibiting artists
are other examples of the richness of programming
offered
by the Coral Springs Museum of Art.
If you are a patron of the arts or simply a proud resident
of Coral Springs you will want to be remembered for
your support of the current Artists in Residence program
by “Buying a Piece of the Wall”. Artists
in Residence, Jan Kolenda and John Foster, are creating
a 54 x 17 foot Relief Ceramic Tile Wall Mural of the
Everglades that will be permanently installed on the
south side of the Museum. Supporters will have their
name engraved in a donor plaque located in front of
the mural.
