Teen Contract
is a service provided by the Police Department
to help prevent unauthorized house parties when
parents are away. A contract between parent
and child is drawn up which prohibits any open
house parties. The parent then authorizes the
Police Department to check on the house to ensure
that the contract is being honored. The contract
must be filled out in the presence of an authorized
member of the Police Department and submitted
five days before the parents’ departure date.

It is illegal for any person to dump any materials
on any property, either publicly or privately
owned, unless the person has the written consent
of the property owner. Fines for littering depend
on the weight of the litter and range from $50
to $500.

Memorial Tree Program

The City’s Tree
Memorial Program allows family or friends to
dedicate a tree in memory of a loved one. The
City can provide a tree at cost and will install
the tree within any of the City parks. In addition,
a plaque can be placed at the base of the tree.
City staff will install the plaque in the ground,
which can be 5” by 7” or 4” by 6” and must be
provided by the person dedicating the tree.

example, in order to ride a
mini-motorcycle within 100 feet of a road, you
must have a valid Florida driver’s license.
