The EDF has a long track record of success.  Since its inception in 1993/1994, the EDF has attracted 130 corporations/projects to the City, assisted in the expansion and retention of 21 others.  This performance translates into the creation and absorption of over 7.4 million square feet of office, commercial and industrial space in fourteen years of services to our community.  In 1993, we set a long-term goal to double the Fiscal Year 1992 non-residential tax base by build out (currently projected for FY 2010-2011).  Incredibly, we have more than doubled the commercial tax base reaching the $2.18 billion mark for FY 2008.
